Again, to help with the writing, here's a summary of the plot to date:
The girl has made a life choice to give up her job and home and strike out on her own. She split from her partner, Tim, 2 years ago and since then has felt unsettled and unfulfilled. She is hoping that a fresh start will help. The only thing that she regrets leaving behind are her daily encounters with a handsome stranger on the streets of her home town. They have been on nodding terms but nothing more.
The handsome stranger has also noticed her but hasn't plucked up the courage to talk to her yet. And now he is distracted by some late night bad news. His mother has died and he is being recalled to the family home and business. He left 5 years ago after an argument, caused by his mother breaking up his relationship with Carmen, his then love of whom his mother disapproved. Carmen, it seems, was only too happy to accept money to give him up.
The handsome stranger is not the only one unhappy at his return home. His younger brother has been holding the fort since his elder brother left and now resents his forthcoming return. The family business is a very successful one and little brother has got used to the status and freedom of running the family firm. He is not looking forward to his brother taking his place.
The girl is heading for Spain - with no job and nowhere to stay lined up. It's not clear whether she has a destination in mind, or even if she intends to stay for any length of time.
